It is also the key, to helping communities move towards peace and prosperity. Supporting education is a recognition of people’s enormous potential and the right to a better future.

Everyone deserves an education regardless of age or gender, religion or physical capacity, ethnic group or displacement through conflict. Education is essential if people are to participate in the life of their own communities.

Our Focus

Education.

All children should have the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. Omukisa foundation carries out transformative work in schools to help them achieve that. We committed to helping tackle poor literacy, boosting attainment and building children and young people’s life skills.

Through the funding of educational projects and training programs, we aim to enable the inclusion and equal participation of young people in their communities, and to unlock their potential for a greater future.

Infrastructure Development.

Shelter is a basic human need. Every human being has the right to have a safe shelter. An adequate shelter is very crucial for survival as it protects us from conflicts and natural disasters. Shelter also provides security, safety, and protection from harsh weather especially during the scorching sun heat and cold winter nights.

Adequate housing also provides families and individuals with an environment to flourish and live a normal life without constant fear of being watched all the time.

With the help of Donor Support and the local community, Omukisa Foundation is building houses for poor and needy families across Africa.

Young Farmers Project.

Almost half of the population in the Eastern district of Bugiri, Uganda, lives in absolute poverty with 30% of children being homeless.

Many children don’t get the chance to enjoy free school lunches. The current school lunch of maize and split beans doesn’t provide the children with all the vitamins and nutrition they need for healthy development.

With your help, The Omukisa Young Farmers  project can help children and young people in Nabukaalu turn barren plots of land into thriving vegetable gardens so they can grow nutritious vegetables they need.
